Just a reminder! ALASC will be hosting a poster contest, along with other online events to celebrate Banned Books Week!\u00a0 This year Banned Books Week takes place September 24 through October 1, 2011.<\/p>\n
ALASC is putting on a \u201cBanned Books Week Poster Contest<\/strong>\u201d now through September 24 for SLIS students.<\/p>\n The Challenge:<\/strong> to create a poster promoting a banned book (or books) that also highlights Banned Books Week\u2019s focus on intellectual freedom.<\/p>\n Submitted posters will be added to the ALASC blog (https:\/\/slisgroups.sjsu.edu\/alasc\/wp-students\/<\/a>) and will be available for students to vote on during Banned Books Week. The winner will be announced on September 30 and will receive a prize and their poster will be displayed on ALASC\u2019s homepage and Facebook.<\/p>\n To submit your poster:<\/strong> please send as a .jgp file to sjsualasc@gmail.com<\/a>\u00a0 by September 24th. Suggested size 300×300 pixels.\u00a0Max: 400 width x 600 length.<\/p>\n Please include \u201cBanned Books Contest\u201d in the subject line and include your name and a title for your poster in the email.
