ALASC (American Library Association Student Chapter) would like to welcome you to Fall 2011! No matter where you live in the USA or in the world, your ALASC board members are here to help you connect with other SLIS students in your region.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
In addition to online events, there are a variety of opportunities ALASC can assist with to help you connect with other SLIS students in your area. Here is just a brief list of events ALASC could help coordinate and promote:<\/p>\n

–\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Library tours (tell us what libraries you\u2019re interested in visiting)<\/p>\n
–\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Social get togethers (lunch, coffee or cocktail hours)<\/p>\n
–\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Local library event<\/p>\n
–\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Local volunteer or community events<\/p>\n
–\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Local professional networking events<\/p>\n

If you are interested in a local event in your area, please send us an email to sjsualasc@gmail.com<\/a> with your name, your location, and any events you would be interested in attending.
