Jenn supports over twenty-five school library programs\, including credentialed and classified staff. She is passionate about literacy and promoting a love of reading. She advocates for inclusive library materials and programs and collaborates with the local public libraries to support students and families. \nEmily Espanol\n Research & Learning Librarian\n College of Pharmacy\, Roseman University of Health Sciences \nAfter graduating from SJSU in May 2023\, Emily Espanol became a Research & Learning Librarian for the College of Pharmacy at Roseman University of Health Sciences. She climbed the ranks at Roseman\, starting in 2021 as a Library Assistant and then Service Desk Manager before finishing her MLIS. She performs the normal tasks of an academic librarian\, from instruction and collection development to struggling with imposter syndrome. \nAllison L. Shaw\n Online and Media Coordinator\n Lipscomb University \nEducation: \n\nBachelor of Arts in English\, Sacramento State University\nMaster of Library and Information Science\, San Jose State University\n\nAllison L. Shaw\, online and media coordinator\, comes to Lipscomb after 20 years’ experience with libraries; curriculum development; and professional\, continuing\, and online education with the Sacramento State College of Continuing Education and the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection. She looks forward to supporting students through online learning and terrific books. Newer to Nashville\, the Shaw family enjoys the TN seasons; access to great music\, theatre\, and sports; and exploring tasty restaurants. Team Shaw has three teenagers attending Lipscomb Academy. \nKelly Duarte\n Cataloging and Metadata Assistant\n Chapman University \nKelly Duarte currently works at Chapman University as a Cataloging and Metadata Assistant and serves as an on-call Reference Librarian at the Beaumont Library District. She is a recent graduate from SJSU’s MLIS program and also has a B.A. in Creative Writing from UC Riverside. \nElizabeth Tapia\n Adult Librarian \nAfter teaching high school for four years\, and seeing the need to improve student literacy\, Elizabeth Tapia decided to pursue librarianship by becoming a middle school library technician full time\, and enrolling in the SJSU MLIS program. Her experience as a teacher\, middle school library technician\, and public library children’s assistant in combination with the knowledge gained from this degree have prepared her to understand the needs of her community to connect them with valuable resources and services to help them fulfill their personal\, professional\, and academic endeavors. Today\, she is an adult librarian and looking forward to highlighting their local history room\, and creating programs that engage the adult community.
