DESCRIPTION:Join SJSU’s Asian American\, Native Hawaiian\, and Pacific Islander iSchool Student Group for an evening of conversation with special guest Jaena Rae Cabrera. \nTuesday\, November 12\, 2024 @ 7pm PT \nClick here to register now \nSpeaker Bio: \nJaena Rae Cabrera is a branch manager and the Filipino American Center Program manager with the San Francisco Public Library. Jaena is also active in the library world as president of the Asian Pacific American Librarians Association\, editor-in-chief of WOC+Lib\, team lead of the Digital Public Library of America’s Curation Corps\, and editor for In The Library With The Lead Pipe. Outside of library work\, she enjoys walks\, a good cup of coffee\, and spending time with her three cats. \nThe Asian American Native Hawaiian Pacific Islander (AANHPI) iSchool Student Group at San José State University is focused on bringing awareness to the needs of AANHPI students and staff in information professions\, engaging the student body in recognition and support for AANHPI students and communities\, and promoting connection and cultural understanding. \nAll iSchool students are welcome!
