Build experience to boost your resume? Feel less isolated among a geographically separate student body? Get more involved in the SJSU ASIS&amp;T Student Chapter!<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Two positions are still open on the Executive Committee for the 2016-2017 school year, and we are accepting self-nominations.\u00a0\u00a0The available\u00a0Executive Committee positions\u00a0follow:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li dir=\"ltr\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><strong>PROGRAMMING DIRECTOR:<\/strong> \u00a0The Programming Director plans Student Chapter events; confirms participation of Presenters for events; coordinates with Communications concern the scheduling and promotion of events; ensures all events are properly managed, moderated, and recorded; responds to programming inquiries. In addition, post-events, the Programming Director keeps track of event attendance and records survey responses from event attendees in their appropriate spreadsheets.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li dir=\"ltr\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><strong>SOCIAL MEDIA COORDINATOR:<\/strong> \u00a0The Social Media Coordinator publicizes Student Chapter business, news, and events on various social platforms; transforms recordings into MP4 files and uploads to SJSU ScholarWorks and the Student Chapter YouTube Channel with standardized event details; disseminates MP4 recording links as they become available; creates <a href=\"http:\/\/bit.ly\/\" target=\"_blank\">bit.ly<\/a> links for website materials.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">If you are interested in throwing your hat into the ring, please email <a href=\"mailto:sjsuasist@gmail.com\" target=\"_blank\">sjsuasist@gmail.com<\/a> with the subject \u201c2016-17 EC Self-Nomination.\u201d In the body of the email include your name, a paragraph about why you\u2019re interested, a brief biography, and a photo of yourself. \u00a0These vacancies will be filled by a majority vote at a monthly business meeting.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">If you have questions, please feel free to reach out to us.
