Call for nominations for ASIS&T Student Chapter board: Vice Chair!<\/span><\/h2>\n

We are currently seeking an enthusiastic person for an opening on our Executive Board.<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

  2. Need leadership skills for your resume?\u00a0<\/strong><\/span><\/li>\n
  3. Become a member of SJSU ASIS&T Student Chapter!\u00a0<\/strong><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    \u00a0The Nominating Committee invites nominations from SJSU-ASIS&T student members for a vacancy in the\u00a0Executive Committee for the year 2011-2012.<\/p>\n

    \u00a0Vice Chair<\/strong><\/p>\n

    Duties\/Responsibilities<\/em>:<\/p>\n

    A. \u00a0Actively assist the Chair.<\/p>\n

    B. \u00a0Preside at Executive Committee or Student Chapter meetings in the absence of the Chair.<\/p>\n

    C. \u00a0Automatically succeed to the Office of Chair upon the long term unavailability, resignation, removal, or death of the Chair.<\/p>\n

    D. \u00a0Perform such duties as the Executive Committee or the Chair may assign, within\u00a0reason, as expected of a Vice Chair.<\/p>\n

    Nominations:<\/strong>\u00a0\u00a0Candidates may nominate themselves for election and must be SJSU-ASIS&T Student Chapter members. Candidates for office must be clear of intent of enrollment through May 2012.<\/p>\n

    Please send your nomination, including a short bio, statement of purpose, and portrait photograph, to the Nominating Committee Chair Patricia D\u2019Cruz at dcruzpat@gmail.com<\/a>\u00a0by August 31, 2011 at 11:59pm PT.<\/p>\n

    Important dates:<\/strong>\u00a0\u00a0All nominations must be received by August 31, 2011 at 11:59pm PT<\/strong><\/span>.<\/p>\n

    Elections will be held September 2 – 6, 2011.<\/span><\/p>\n

    Voting process:<\/strong>\u00a0\u00a0Officers shall be elected by a majority of the ASIS&T Student Chapter members voting online via D2L.
