{"id":1239,"date":"2012-01-09T09:36:25","date_gmt":"2012-01-09T17:36:25","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/slisgroups.sjsu.edu\/asistsc\/?p=1239"},"modified":"2014-10-11T19:25:23","modified_gmt":"2014-10-12T02:25:23","slug":"call-for-nominations-social-media-administrator-and-newsletter-editor","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/ischoolgroups.sjsu.edu\/asistsc\/call-for-nominations-social-media-administrator-and-newsletter-editor\/","title":{"rendered":"Call for Nominations: Social Media Administrator and Newsletter Editor"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2 id=\"yui_3_2_0_1_1326130150868156\" style=\"text-align: center;\"><span id=\"yui_3_2_0_1_1326130150868153\"><strong id=\"yui_3_2_0_1_1326130150868150\">Call for nominations for ASIS&amp;T Student Chapter board: Social Media Administrator and Newsletter Editor<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n<div style=\"text-align: center;\"><span>\u00a0The Nominating Committee invites nominations from SJSU ASIS&amp;T Student Chapter members for vacancies in the Executive Committee for the year 2011-2012.<\/span><\/div>\n<div><span><br \/>\n<\/span><\/div>\n<div><span><strong>Social Media Administrator<\/strong><\/span><\/div>\n<div><span><strong>Duties\/Responsibilities:<\/strong><\/span><\/div>\n<ul>\n<li><span>Create, implement, and manage Student Chapter social media accounts.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span>Promote Student Chapter meetings, programs, projects, activities, news, publications, resources, and features to students and faculty via Student Chapter social media accounts.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span>Relay the Student Chapter\u2019s message and brand consistently across multiple social media networks.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span>Provide feedback to those who interact with the Student Chapter&#8217;s social media accounts.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span>Monitor the Student Chapter&#8217;s social media accounts for inappropriate content.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span>Inform ASIS&amp;T Headquarters of any updates to the Student Chapter&#8217;s social media accounts, which are displayed on the Student Chapter Web page on the ASIS&amp;T Web site.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span>Perform such duties as the Executive Committee or the Chair may assign, within reason, as expected of a Social Media Administrator.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div>\n<div><span><strong>Newsletter Editor<\/strong><\/span><\/div>\n<div><span><strong>Duties\/Responsibilities:<\/strong><\/span><\/div>\n<ul>\n<li><span>Carry out the functions of designing, creating, assembling, and producing a Student Chapter newsletter twice a semester.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span>Have strong writing, editing, and journalistic skills.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span>Perform such duties as the Executive Committee or the Chair may assign, within reason, as expected of a Newsletter Editor.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<div><span><strong>***Note: It is a requirement that the Newsletter Editor be able to produce the newsletters using Microsoft Publisher software. \u00a0Please do not apply for the position of Newsletter Editor unless you have reliable access to Microsoft Publisher.<\/strong><strong>\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong><\/span><\/div>\n<div><span><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/span><\/div>\n<div id=\"yui_3_2_0_1_1326130150868190\"><span id=\"yui_3_2_0_1_1326130150868187\"><strong>Nomination requirements:<\/strong>\u00a0 Candidates must be SJSU ASIS&amp;T Student Chapter members.
